Yes — for larger projects, work is typically delivered in checkpoints rather than all at once at the end, so you can review and give feedback along the way.

No — a messy, disorganized store with no idea where to start is exactly the kind of problem this addresses. There's no baseline of “readiness” required.
Just your store URL and which area you'd like reviewed (catalog data, checkout/QA, or “not sure — take a look”). Everything else is figured out during the audit itself.
